Sigma Kappa provides valuable leadership development opportunities to its members. As an organization Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in at least one extracurricular activity during their collegiate experience. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the campus and community in ways that are important to them.

Sigma Kappa Delta Tau participates in a multitude of events every year around the University of Central Arkansas' campus. One of our favorite types of events are mixers. Whether it's a Panhellenic mixer or an IFC mixer, you'll always see us there interacting with the Greek community. We especially love Panhellenic mixers, because we get to mingle and hang out with the other sororities on campus. Our favorite Panhellenic mixer was the "Panhellenic Girls Night Out" where we got to make face masks and eat ice cream!
We love to be able to spend time with our families at campus events. It's important to use that we make time to show them all of the great things we are doing in our sorority, in our community, and in our classes. Reasons like these are why we enjoy Family Day so much! Every year, in the fall, the University of Central Arkansas hosts Family Day on our campus. We take advantage of this day by showing our families our beautiful house, tailgating, eating great food, and watching our team play football. Roll Bears! Delta Tau also hosts Dad's Day and Mom's Day every spring. This is our way of showing our parents how much we care for and appreciate all that they do for us. Dad's Day usually takes place in Hot Springs, Arkansas and is a day full of excitement at the horse races. Mom's Day is typically a nice day at an art studio where we paint and spend quality mother/daughter time with each other!
As Sigma Kappa's we love hanging out with our sisters as much as possible and Sisterhoods are just another way we can do that! Sisterhoods allow us to enjoy and bond with our sisters outside of chapter meetings and the craziness of school. Our most recent and current favorite Sisterhood is the Christmas Sisterhood! At this Sisterhood we drank hot chocolate, decorated ornaments, made gingerbread houses, and watched classic Christmas movies!
